On the third of December 2014, ACPPRC together with the NSW Australian Chinese community, held a welcome banquet at Marigold Restaurant in honour of His Excellency Mr. Zhou Wenzhong, former Ambassador of P.R. China to Australia, former Vice Foreign Minister of China, Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia. More than 100 distinguished leaders from different sectors of the NSW Chinese community were invited to attend the dinner.

Mr. Xiangmo Huang, Chairman of ACPPRC, Chairman of Board of UTS Australia China Relations Institute, made a welcome speech.

The Hon. Bob Carr, former Foreign Minister of Australia, Director of UTS Australia China Relations Institute; H.E. Tong Xuejun, Deputy Consul-General of the PRC in Sydney; and H.E. Zhou Wenzhong delivered addresses at the banquet. They advocated conserted efforts to strengthen the mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Australia in such areas as politics, society and business.
