Inauguration Ceremony of WA Branch

On the 30th of May 2011, Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (Western Australia), which is a state branch of the ACPPRC, was established in Perth. With the establishment of Western Australia branch, the Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China has its branch councils in all states (except Tasmania) throughout Australia. The establishment of Western Australian Council will play an active role in promoting the economic and cultural exchanges and co-operation between Western Australia and China.

The inauguration ceremony was held at 4pm at River View Room 4 (level 2), Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, followed by a Pre-drink and Gala Dinner commencing 5:30pm at Bellevue Ballroom 2 (Level 3). Mr Pan Bang Zhao announced the founding of Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (Western Australia).

Mr William Chiu led an ACPPRC delegation of 24 members to attend the event and made speeches at both afternoon ceremony and celebration dinner. H.E. Wang Qinmin, Member of the Standing Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of China Zhi Gong Party, and his party, official guests from WA state government, representatives from business and community in WA were invited to attend the function.

At the ceremony, there was a symposium in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. That was a great piece of political affair that shocked the world at the time, and also marked the beginning of the Republic of China. Several speakers spoke about a century of memories of the Xinhai Revolution and promote the spirit of Xinhai Revolution which revitalized the Chinese nation.
