First Confucius Culture Festival Australia
The First Confucius Culture Festival on 20 September 2009 was organised by ACPPRC, The Australian Hokkien Huay Kuan Association, and other five organisations. Confucius was a great thinker and Master of education in Chinese history dating back 2560 years. But his wise sayings, such as "All men are brothers" and "Do not give unto others what you don't want yourself", have been widely pursued, memorised and even been adopted by the United Nations as the heritage of human history. Confucian studies have brought tremendous value of "Peace and Mutual Respect" in educating the youth and refining human behaviors in general. These values have nurtured harmony in communities wherever they are followed. Younger generations cultivated in such values prove to be respectful citizens in society.
