Sichuan Earthquake Disaster Relief

The deadly earthquake disaster that happened in Sichuan Province in southwest China have caused serious death toll and damages, millions of people become homeless. ACPPRC organised a Sichuan Earthquake Disaster relief fundraising dinner on 15 May 2008.

The ceremony of handing over of Sichuan Earthquake disaster relief fund held on 23 May in Beijing. It was hosted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) who presented the certificates to the donors’ representatives. Hon. Morris Iemma witnessed the ceremony.

ACPPRC donated 2233 tents and 10 water filters for Earthquake disaster area of Sichuan; Mr John Sheen went to Sichuan to install water filters and provide training to residents on the field in July 2008.

Mr. William Chiu visited Sichuan disaster area and attended media conference on Biechuan high school rebuild in July 2008.
