On the 29th of November 2019, Australian Chinese community pulled together to hold a major fundraising dinner collecting $390,000 for bushfire relief. ACETCA and ACPPRC were the major initiators of the event.

President Hung Ly OAM JP had been overseas in November. He spared no efforts to call on the members of ACPPRC and Australian Chinese Teo Chew Association both under his leadership to support those affected by bushfires. With the help of Dr. Frank Chou, more than $130,000 donations has been confirmed by Mr Ly , about one third of the total donation at the event.

Prof. Qun Shao JP, former President of ACPPRC, Dr. Wing To, Mr. Peter Chen and other representatives from ACPPRC attended the fundraising dinner.

On the 7th of December 2019, Dr. Frank Chou, Mr Hung Ly, Dr. Ven Tan, and other representatives from Chinese community, sent the donation cheque of $100,000 to the Hornsby Rural Fire Brigade.

On the 19th of January 2020, ACPPRC Western Sydney Branch, Chinese Association Community Association of Australia, Australian Chinese Teo Chew Association, Australian Chinese Descendants Mutual Association, Australian Chinese Buddhist Society and other Chinese community organisations in the western Sydney, hosted a banquet to celebrate Australian Day and Chinese New Year. At the banquet, the organiser collected more than $310,000 for bushfire relief to support Rural Fire Brigade.
