ACPPRC Welcomes the Year of the Tiger and H.E. Zhao Yao
On 19 Feburary 2010, ACPPRC organised a Chinese New Year Banquet to celebrate the year of the Tiger and welcome H.E. Zhao Yang, Vice Minister of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office & his party. More than 500 distinguished guests are invited to attend the banquet. They are representatives from trade, culture, education, science, religious circles and quests from all walks of life in Sydney and leaders of the Chinese community, representatives from Chinese students in Australia and entrepreneurs many of whom have been honorary chairpersons of ACPPRC and doctors, solicitors,professors and MP's who have been our honorary advisers and eye surgeons and medical staff of "Eyes on China" and teachers of Chinese Classics Recital Classes.
 

Mr William Chiu, Chairman of ACPPRC, made a welcome speech and gave the New Year blessing to all guests. He thanks all the members and supporters of ACPPRC for receiving 2010 Quong Tart Lifetime Achievement Award in Community Service.

There are seven addresses from officials: H.E. Zhao Yang, Vice Minister of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of PRC; H.E Zhang Junsai, Ambassador of the PRC to Australia; The Hon. Laurie Ferguson MP, representing the Federal Government; The Hon. Philip Ruddock MP, representing the Federal Opposition; H.E Hu Shan, Consul-General (Ambassadorial rank) of the PRC in Sydney; The Hon. Barbara Perry MP, representing the Premier of NSW and Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP, representing the NSW Leader of the Opposition.
